🕐 Departure:
We depart from Hurghada at 01:00 AM, arriving in Cairo in the morning.

🏛 Saqqara Plateau & Serapeum:
Our first stop is the Saqqara Plateau, one of Egypt’s most significant archaeological sites. The highlight of this site is the Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser (circa 2650 BC), an architectural marvel that is considered the world’s first monumental stone structure and the precursor to the classic pyramids.
Another fascinating stop is the Serapeum, an underground necropolis dedicated to the sacred Apis bulls. Here, visitors can explore the tombs where these revered animals were mummified and placed in massive sarcophagi.

🍽 Lunch:
After visiting Saqqara, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a restaurant near the pyramids.

🏛 Museum of Egyptian Civilization:
In the afternoon, we visit the Museum of Egyptian Civilization, a modern and impressive museum that showcases artifacts spanning various periods of Egyptian history. Key exhibits include royal mummies, religious artifacts, and some of the earliest hieroglyphic inscriptions ever discovered. The museum offers a deep insight into Egypt’s cultural evolution over thousands of years.

Optional Visit: Old Cairo (Coptic Cairo)

For those who wish to extend their tour, an optional visit to Old Cairo (Coptic Cairo) is available. This historic area is home to some of Egypt’s most significant Christian landmarks. Highlights include:

• The Crypt of the Holy Virgin Mary, where the Holy Family is believed to have taken refuge during their flight into Egypt.
• The Hanging Church, one of the oldest Coptic churches, built in the 3rd century atop the remains of a Roman fortress gate. The church is renowned for its unique architectural style and deep religious significance.
